Sophora Bud (Flos Sophorae Immaturus) 16 oz

1. Sophora japonica flower: wrinkled and curled, petals mostly scattered. The complete calyx is bell-shaped, yellow-green, with 5 shallow lobes at the tip; 5 petals, yellow or yellow-white, 1 larger, nearly round, slightly concave at the tip, and the other 4 oblong. 10 stamens, 9 of which are fused at the base, and the filaments are slender. The pistil is cylindrical and curved. The body is light. The smell is slight and the taste is slightly bitter.
   2. Sophora japonica seed: It is ovate or elliptical, 2 to 6 mm long and about 2 mm in diameter. There are several longitudinal lines on the lower part of the calyx. The upper part of the calyx is yellow-white unopened petals. The pedicel is small. The body is light and will break when twisted by hand. The smell is slight and the taste is slightly bitter.

Used for blood in stool, hemorrhoids, bloody dysentery, metrorrhagia, vomiting blood, epistaxis, liver heat and red eyes, headache and dizziness
